Rayingri Revisited (TK)Tali wasn't particularly expecting Garrus's room to be anything special- from what she'd heard, turian residences were accordingly threadbare and largely devoid of niceties. Though the room itself was as roomy as her own, it really wasn't much more than a bed, a desk, and a personal terminal, though the disassembled rifle and some books on said desk were Garrus's. Really, she was just glad he didn't have to sleep in the Mako anymore- though the loss of the old Normandy still stung, she found the new one a vast improvement.Rayingri Revisited (TK) by stod7
"So," she said carefully from her position on the bed. "Omega, then."
Garrus smiled at her from his swivel chair at the desk, clad in a dark grey thermal undershirt, loose black athletic pants, and familiar blue socks rather than the damaged armor he wore seemingly all other times. "Yup," he said proudly. "Started cleaning that place up the minute I got there. Figured it was the best thing to do with all my new spare time. Not really a 'quiet retirement' kind of guy,
Article 108 (TK)Over the comms, Joker had said it would be somewhere in the ballpark of ten or twelve minutes until pickup, on account of a dust storm. Two of them had just been spent in the Mako's moderately-large interior, in stony silence.Article 108 (TK) by stod7
Finally, Garrus slid down out of the Mako's turret and said, "You know, we heard the rumors, but-"
Shepard pounded the steering column. "It is not my fault Rayingri is built like a skate park!"
Tali turned to face Shepard from the nav console. "Skate park?"
"It's this thing we have on Earth. People take these boards on wheels and do stunts there. Lots of really uncontrollable jumps," Shepard urged, turning in the driver's seat to glare pointedly at Garrus.
Garrus chuckled. "Look, between your supposed Mako qualifications and, uh, personal experience, I'm inclined to think that bumpy ride down there was your fault."
"You were out there with me! You saw how rough the terrain was!"
"And you're asking me to believe humanity's best rover can't handl
Upgrading Legion, pt. 1 (TK)The 1,183 Geth runtimes that inhabited the frame its shipmates had come to call "Legion" had spent the better part of 1 hour, 17 minutes and 36.72 seconds attempting to form consensus on Creator Tali'Zorah's motives for inviting them to her cabin, and had failed to do so. They did agree that they were bound by organic rules of etiquette to accept the Creator's invitation, and so arrived at her door at 1915 hours (arriving an additional 15 minutes late to allow Creator Tali'Zorah time to arrive herself). They knocked on the door three times sharply, the sound of fine polymer manipulators against the metal frame registering momentarily from audio receptors before being considered nonessential data and summarily discarded.Upgrading Legion, pt. 1 (TK) by stod7
Tali knew Legion would be confused- as much as a Geth could be- at her offer, and knew she had to use that confusion to her advantage if her plan was to work. She took a moment to make sure everything was in place, then answered the knock with her most innocent face. "H
Upgrading Legion, pt. 2 (TK)"Great!" Tali said gleefully. Legion perceived it is simple joy that her offer was accepted; Tali, however, knew better. "Just take a seat over there and I'll get everything set up."Upgrading Legion, pt. 2 (TK) by stod7
Legion obediently withdrew to the corner of the room. The closest seating arrangements it could find were a teal blue beanie bag, and so he awkwardly attempted to put itself into a comfortable position.
"I just sent the data packet now," Tali said as she gathered her tools. "You can start scrubbing it for viruses as soon as you get it." She glanced over at Legion and stifled a giggle; being unfamiliar with beanie bags, Legion had arranged itself in a way that dictated more of its bottom hung off into space than rested on the bag, and its legs had to fold up into themselves to look somewhat like a normal way to sit down.
"Packet recieved," Legion confirmed. "Beginning anti-virus scrubbing." They did not mention how the motors in its pedes were straining to keep Legion from slipping off the bag. A few of its
